A
new weblog post from Larry 'Major Nelson' Hryb has announced a major backwards compatibility update now available over Xbox Live. This free update brings the complete list of original Xbox games that you can play on your Xbox 360 to almost 300, and adds a number of notable titles to the catalog.
The list of highlights for the August 2006 backward compatibility updates includes additions such as
Counter-Strike, Burnout 3, Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth, and
True Crime Streets of LA, although has not yet added the much-petitioned
Psychonauts.
