Following
comments made by Microsoft VP Peter Moore reinforcing the company's support for Xbox 360 backwards compatibility, staffer Larry 'Major Nelson' Hryb has revealed a new list of Xbox 360-compatible Xbox games activated today.
In total, 21 original Xbox titles were added to the list of backwards compatible titles, bringing the list to 227 games. Of these, notable additions included Activision's
Doom 3, LucasArts'
Star Wars Battlefront and Eidos'
Lego Star Wars. Other additions included
4X4 Evolution 2, Amped 2, Bad Boys 2, Big Mutha Truckers, and
Dreamfall: The Longest Journey.
Further additions included
Fatal Frame, FlatOut, Grabbed by the Ghoulies, Intellivision Lives, Magatama, Minority Report, and
MLB Slugfest 2004. Finally, the remaining titles added in this latest update include
Punisher, Rallisport Challenge, Silent Hill 4: The Room, Spawn: Armageddon, Spider-Man, State of Emergency, and
Zapper.
Additionally, the update also included a handful of Japanese-only titles such as
Bistro Cupid 1,
Flight Academy,
Othello Seminar,
Igo Seminar,
Shogi Seminar, and
Mahjong Seminar.
While the update is available over Xbox Live, Microsoft has also
released it for download over Xbox.com for those users who do not have access to the online service.
