Microsoft has confirmed earlier reports that its regular Wednesday Xbox Live Arcade update will include a port of arcade beat em up Double Dragon
and have previewed six more forthcoming titles, including more casual card and board games.
last week by Live Arcade version developers Empire, Microsoft has revealed more features of the arcade port, including two-player local and Xbox Live multiplayer, new music, three separate leaderboards, customizable controls, and special extras such as original arcade sales fliers. The game will be released for 400 Microsoft Points ($5).
In addition to the Double Dragon
announcement, Microsoft has also sent details of more forthcoming Live Arcade titles to be added over the following weeks.
These include Load Inc. and D3Publisher's 3D Micro Machines
-esque Mad Tracks
, with up to four players racing micro cars in over-sized real world environments, and an arcade conversion of Konami's action title Rush'N Attack
(aka Green Beret
Future updates will also include Street Trace:NYC
, a hhover board racing and arena battle game from Gaia Industries Inc., who are also developing
Live Arcade's Wing Commander Arena
for Electronic Arts, and the previously revealed
one-to-sixteen player underwater battle game Undertow
, from ex-Advent Rising
developers Chair Entertainment.
Finally, Live Arcade will be getting two more casual card and board games in the same vein as its previous hit title Uno
, with Soltrio Solitaire
from Silver Creek Entertainment, set to include 18 different single and co-op/competitive two-player solitaire games, and Spyglass Board Games
from Strange Flavour Ltd. and Freeverse, including chess, checkers, mancala and reversi, and in-game video chat using the Xbox Live Vision camera.
