The new games include Disney/Pixar’s
Monsters Inc., Disney’s
Atlantis: The Lost Empire and
ESPN’s 2-Minute Drill.
The agreement reflects the growing demand for entertainment via mobile devices. Research firm Data Monitor says that one in six U.S. cell phone subscribers, or 21.6 million people, will play games on mobile phones this year, and it forecasts that 93 million people will be playing wireless games in 2006.
“Walt Disney Internet Group's games are a great addition to the Sprint PCS Wireless Web. Disney/Pixar's
Monsters Inc., Disney’s
Atlantis: The Lost Empire and
ESPN’s 2-Minute Drill combine recognized brands with an entertaining experience for all users,” said Chip Novick, vice president of consumer marketing for Sprint PCS. “Now Sprint PCS customers can enjoy Disney entertainment and make their downtime interactive and fun.”
