Patrick Sebring, a designer for Ubisoft/Red Storm Entertainment, has been scheduled to lecture at Raleigh, NC's Wake Technical Community College on game play (the challenges and actions of a digital game). Sebring will speak on Wednesday, November 1, at 12:15 p.m. in the Technical Education Building Room 105A on main campus (U.S. 401 S.). The lecture, part of a series hosted by the college's simulation and game development curriculum and sponsored by the National Science Foundation, is free and open to the public.
Sebring has worked in various aspects of the information technology industry from defense and space satellite ventures to networking systems for hospitals. He has also been a developer on various Xbox and PC titles, as well as acted as coder on Flash games for Seattle's Zombie Studios. He is currently working on the next series of Tom Clancy titles for Ubisoft/Red Storm.
Wake Technical Community College's Wednesday speaker series includes many speakers from local companies, including Epic Games, UbiSoft/Red Storm, 3Dsolve, MediaSunshine and Virtual Heroes.
