Online communications services provider Vivox has Matthew Bellows as its new vice president of consumer strategy, where he will lead the company in extending the reach and capabilities of Vivox’s voice services into new games, virtual worlds, and communities.
Before joining Vivox, Bellows served as general manager for Floodgate Entertainment, helping develop video games for Electronic Arts, Disney, Microsoft, and many other publishers. Prior to Floodgate Entertainment, Bellows co-founded WGR Media, a mobile entertainment publication which was eventually sold to CNET Networks in 2004.
Based in Framingham, Massachusetts, Vivox delivers high quality and massively scalable voice communications to online game and virtual world developers, including CCP Games, Linden Lab, NCsoft, and Sony Online Entertainment.
Said Vivox CEO Rob Seaver: “Matthew has an impressive track record of launching innovative services and driving market development. His demonstrated success in creating new products and forming successful business alliances will strengthen our position as the leading provider of voice services to the online game industry and bring significant value to our clients.”
