Vivendi Universal Games Names New CIO

Vivendi Universal Games appointed Paul Volkman to Chief Information Officer, where he will be responsible for developing IT strategies on behalf of VU Games and its North American-based studios -- Blizzard, Sierra, Universal Interactive and the Partner Pu

He will also oversee VUG's infrastructure, telecommunications, corporate applications and Internet technologies. Volkman was formerly VU Games' Director of Information Technology. Volkman assumes his new role as CIO effective immediately, and will report to Luc Vanhal, VUG's President and Chief Operating Officer.
