The question of whether Vivendi will sell its entertainment unit – which includes Vivendi Universal Games – took another turn in the quagmire today with the news that the company is seeking new bids and yet still hasn’t decided definitively whether it’s actually going to sell at all. Business magazine Forbes reports that many existing bidders have withdrawn their interest for the division, which, according to Vivendi chairman Jean-Rene Fourtou, has a price tag of $14 billion. Forbes speculates that the company may decide to merge the division’s assets with another large media group in exchange for stock or may simply hold of for a public offering at a later date.
