Vivendi Announces Deal with Interplay for Exclusive Distribution Rights

A distribution agreement was announced between Vivendi Universal Publishing and Interplay Entertainment, which grants Vivendi the exclusive North American rights to distribute Interplay’s PC and video game console products through 2003.

The first titles expected to be released under the distribution agreement for fall 2001 include Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance and Giants: Citizen Kabuto for the Play Station 2. Vivendi will distribute other anticipated Interplay games, which will be announced at a later date.
