Nintendo has announced that this week's regular Wii Shop update will see the addition of three new classic games to the channel's offerings for Virtual Console, all available as of 9:00 AM PST on November 26th.
The new offerings include Double Dribble
, the five-on-five, full-court home basketball game originally released by Konami in arcades in 1986 and for Nintendo Entertainment System in 1987. With support for single or two-player modes, it's priced at 500 Wii points ($5).
Second, the gambling simulator Vegas Stakes
, originally a Super NES title, features five different casino games, including blackjack, slots, poker, craps and roulette. The player starts with $1,000 to spend in five casinos, each with a different theme, varying limits, and interactions with casino patrons that can help our hurt the quest for wealth. It features support for up to four players, and is available for 800 Wii Points ($8).
Finally, Sega Genesis title Ecco Jr.
is an Ecco the Dolphin adventure geared at a younger generation of gamers, as the baby dolphin joins his friends Tara the orca and Kitnee the young Atlantic dolphin on a journey to the Big Blue. Single-player Ecco Jr.
is available for 800 Wii Points ($8).
