Vicarious Visions was a client of Intrinsic Graphics prior to the latter's demise, and Alchemy is being used in a number of the developer's PC and console titles coming out this Fall, including
Crash Nitro Kart for the PS2, Xbox and GameCube. The company said it will continue to support the development of Intrinsic Alchemy in the near future, and brought over some core members of the Alchemy development team. With Alchemy having been used in the development of games from Activision, Konami, Sega, Take-Two Interactive and other studios, Vicarious Visions apparently sees an opportunity to both own the technology it's already using, and create a new revenue stream via technology licensing.
