Representatives from the University of Wisconsin-Madison have announced that the university’s patent company has reached an out of court settlement in a lawsuit against Sony.
The Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation sued Sony and Toshiba last year in federal court. The foundation argued the companies infringed on at least two elements of a foundation-owned patent in the main chip that runs the PlayStation 2 console.
The details of the settlement are to remain private.
