Unity Technologies' Unite 2010 Conference Set For Montreal In November

Unite 2010, the fourth annual developer conference held by Unity Technologies for the users of its popular development environment, will be held this November in Montreal, immediately following the Montreal International Game Summit. The Marche Bonsecours, a domed public market in Old Montreal, will host the event from November 10 to 12, the day after MIGS concludes at the nearby Hilton Bonaventure hotel. Unite is dedicated to allowing Unity developers to share their knowledge about and experiences with the engine, as well as facilitating business and professional networking. It also serves as the backdrop for the Unity Awards, which honor top Unity content. Last year's event was held in San Francisco and attracted at least 350 attendees, more than double the number of the previous year's event in Copenhagen, which in turn was more than double that of the inaugural Unite conference in San Francisco. "Unite is my favorite time of year," said Unity CCO Nicholas Francis. "This is the one time of the year when we get to go out and meet a portion of our users, speak with them, show them what we're working on behind the scenes and get immediate input into the direction we're taking the product." Unity is taking official speaking submissions until August 10 at the conference's official site.
