Engine tech company Unity has two new regional sales directors, appointing Andrew Brammall and Davey Jackson for Europe and North America, respectively.
Brammell has a 20-year sales resume, having held positions at Kynogon and Havok. Jackson is former director of licensing at GarageGames, where he spent five years contributing to the company's revenue growth and relationship-building.
Unity CEO David Helgason says the company's seen rapid growth in its four years on the market, and that the addition of the new sales execs will help its continuing customer relations in those respective regions.
The company claims more than 130,000 registered users of its 3D development platform for PC, Mac, Wii and iPhone-compatible games. Companies working with Unity include Electronic Arts, Ubisoft Microsoft, and Warner Bros.
Unity's engine is particularly designed to enable developers to author 3D content on the Web and for the App Store. It's been a fast-growing member of the engine world,
closing $5.5 million in investor funding late last year and
offering a free version of its platform that makes it increasingly indie-friendly.

"The broad adoption of Unity in these markets, particularly for web and mobile games, is helping everyone from individuals to major publishers participate in this growth."
