In yet another example of unnecessary product clash within the industry, this week has seen two Vietnam based shoot ‘em-ups released at exactly the same time, with SCi’s Conflict: Vietnam, a follow-up to Conflict: Desert Storm II winning out over Guerrilla/Eidos’ Shellshock: Nam '67. The release of the former marked the strongest first week debut ever for a Conflict title on the PS2, and will be a further boost to SCi, who has managed to consistently increase its market share over the last few years. The only other new entry in the top ten is Free Radical Design’s Second Sight, which has gained a relatively healthy placing, despite little in the way of marketing and not being part of an existing franchise or license.
