Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is holding predictably steady at the top of the UK sales charts, with new entry Football Manager 2005 heading a trio of soccer titles immediately beneath its placing. It's definitely been a strong entry for Sega’s new soccer management title though, which is developed by the original creators of the Eidos-published Championship Manager series. However, since those games remain the UK’s best selling PC titles of all time, Football Manager still has some way to go before achieving that level of success. However, with Eidos apparently postponing the release of the latest Championship Manager iteration, the series’ crown may prove easier to steal than many would have assumed. The only other new entry in an otherwise static top ten is EA’s latest Lord of the Rings title at number ten. Despite a relatively muted opening, the RPG-esque title is likely to perform better once the new Return of the King DVD is released in December.
