The latest UK sales charts reveal that both the first and second places are occupied by Star Wars games based on the new movie – several weeks before Revenge Of The Sith is to be released. LucasArts’ official tie-in has gone straight into number one, with Activision publishing the home console versions and Ubisoft the portable versions in the UK. The surprise entry of the week, though, is Pariah at number seven, which despite mixed reviews, has become publisher Hip Interactive' most successful game yet in the UK. As the first high-profile release since the Nintendo DS’s European launch, Nintendo are likely to be disappointed by the entry of Yoshi Touch & Go at number twenty-two. However, with no precedent yet set for new DS titles, it's difficult to judge its impact conclusively. With May continuing to prove a slow period for new releases in the UK, the release of Forza Motorsport on Friday, perhaps one of the last major first-party releases for the Xbox, will be watched with interest by both Microsoft and a number of third-party publishers.
