In this week's UK sales charts, EA’s
2006 FIFA World Cup game has been, at least temporarily, dislodged from the number one spot following the release of Eidos’
Hitman: Blood Money. The
Hitman franchise has always proven popular in the UK, but with the World Cup due to start in a little over a week’s time, it may find it difficult to stay atop the charts for long.
The other new entry in the top ten is Rockstar’s budget-priced table tennis game, which has shrugged off initial ridicule of the title to become one of the Xbox 360’s biggest successes in the UK for some time.
The highest new entry outside of the top ten is Nintendo DS title
Super Princess Peach at number twenty-nine – a much higher debut then might previously have been expected before the success of
Animal Crossing: Wild World. The only other new entry in the top forty is PC real-time strategy game
Rise of Nations: Rise of Legends, at number thirty-seven.
