THQ continues to enjoy considerable success in the UK sales chart this week, with
Destroy All Humans! threatening
Medal of Honor at the top of the charts, and street racer
Juiced holding firm at number three.
There have been relatively few new releases this week, though, with EA’s
Cricket 2005 being the only new entry in the top ten - this represents the best performance yet for the series.
The second highest new entry is
Madagascar at number twelve, which will likely break the top ten once the movie is released on July 15th in the UK. Sony’s PlayStation 2-only
Formula 1 '05 seems less likely to recover from its disappointing new entry at number seventeen, especially given the sports' declining popularity in the UK and elsewhere.
The only other movement of note is the re-entry of
GoldenEye: Rogue Agent at number thirty-five, with 46 percent of sales this week being due to the new Nintendo DS version. Once again, though, UK publishers seem to have created unnecessary competition for themselves with the release, at the same time, of the similarly graphics-heavy Nintendo DS version of
Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory causing Ubisoft’s title to climb three places to number sixteen.
