The UK-based Engineering Technology Board, a registered charity providing a gateway to the best information and resources for those pursuing a career in Science Engineering and Technology (SET), has announced that it is looking for gaming 'role models' for its Scenta website.
The
Scenta website provides an opportunity for anyone working in or trained in SET to inform interested young people about how they achieved their current position in the industry.
In relation to this, the Engineering Technology Board is looking for young British professionals, trained in science, engineering and technology, who are now working within the video game industry anywhere worldwide, and can talk about their experiences.
The organization cites research suggesting that 68% of students want more information to help them make career choices, of whom 72% want advice from someone who works in that job or industry, hence this initiative. Those interested should fill out
the application form for 'becoming a role model' at the Scenta website.
