It has been revealed that lawyers working on behalf of publisher Ubisoft have applied for an injunction to prevent key staff from their Splinter Cell franchise from taking new jobs with Electronic Arts. Ubisoft lawyers claim any such move would break a clause in the developers’ contracts, even though they left the company in July. The developers all worked at the company’s Montreal offices and since Electronic Arts and other companies also set-up their own studios nearby there has been a steady stream of employees leaving the Ubisoft studio for work elsewhere.
