Yannis Mallat, CEO of Ubisoft Montreal and the newly-announced Ubisoft Toronto studio, will deliver a keynote speech at Toronto's GameON: Finance 2009 video game industry investment forum.
Mallat has been with Ubisoft Montreal's CEO since March 2006. He joined Ubisoft Montreal in 2000, and continues to play a role in the production of all of the games developed within the studio, according to GameON: Finance organizers Interactive Ontario.
Ubisoft Montreal is responsible for games including the high-profile titles
Assassin's Creed,
Far Cry 2, and
Rainbow Six Vegas 2, among many others. Paris, France-based Ubisoft
announced Ubisoft Toronto in July this year, a major opening in which the Canadian government is investing $226 million over ten years. Mallat played a major role in the foundation of the studio, and will act as its CEO.
GameON: Finance is
slated to take place on October 27 and 28 in Toronto, and will host a lineup of game industry and investment-oriented speakers including:
