Trymedia Games, a division of Macrovision Corp., announced that it has signed two more licensees for its technology. Zylom and Hip Interactive Europe will both be using Trymedia's services for secure downloadable games that players can play limited trial versions of before full digital purchase.
Hip Interactive Europe will use the service to sell previewable versions of Garfield
, Gadget & the Gadgetinis
, and Stolen
, as well as unspecified other titles. Zylom, a developer and publisher of casual games, will offer Trymedia versions of Bejeweled 2
, Zuma Deluxe
, and Jewel Quest Deluxe
, as well as over 30 other games already available through the service.
"We are pleased to add Hip and Zylom to our global offering. The downloadable format has become part of the customer expectation," said Todd Basche, GM of Macrovision’s Trymedia Games unit. "By offering both the technology and distribution for downloadable games, we make it easier for publishers to connect with new audiences all around the world."
