Organizers of the CTIA Wireless IT & Entertainment 2006 mobile conference have announced the keynote speakers for the event, including representatives from mobile game firms such as Digital Chocolate and Electronic Arts. The event is set to take place from September 12-14 at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Los Angeles, California. The three-day event will see keynote speeches delivered each day from individuals such as Digital Chocolate CEO and Electronic Arts founder Trip Hawkins, as well as returning speaker Mitch Lasky, Senior Vice President for EA Mobile. In addition, the event will also include a panel-style discussion moderated by USA Today Technology Columnist Ed Baig, and feature representation from Hawkins, as well as HELIO CEO Sky Dayton and Virgin Mobile USA CEO Dan Schulman. The topic of the discussion will center on the importance of building a community around their customers in the mobile marketplace. CTIA Wireless IT & Entertainment 2006 is an annual show focused on the integration of wireless data technologies into the enterprise and vertical business markets such as healthcare, government, automotive, and retail. Additionally, the show also explores the rapid growth of the wireless entertainment industry, and includes discussions on topics relating to digital downloads and mobile games. "The wireless lifestyle is all about staying connected wherever and whenever," said Robert Mesirow, vice president and show director for CTIA Wireless I.T. & Entertainment. "Without a community, the industry can't grow, which is why these keynotes are so important. Each of these executives continues to reach his target audience with innovative products and services that grow the business and take full advantage of the mobile medium. We can learn a lot from each of them, and CTIA is delighted to have them as part of our keynote program." For more information concerning the event, including sessions, speakers, and exhibits, interested parties can visit the official CTIA Wireless website.
