Triotech Amusement, Inc., the Canadian arcade game and motion ride developer and publisher responsible for motion-based racing games Ballistics and Wasteland: Racers 2071, has announced the formation of Motreal-based Triotech Studios. According to the firm, Triotech Studios is a centralized 2D and 3D animation studio working on a "next generation arcade game", along with assets for Triotech's line of theme park motion rides. Founded by Frederic and David Lachance, and Ernest Yale in 1999, Triotech is based in Quebec, Canada, with R&D facilities in Montreal and several sales offices across the U.S. Heading this new studio as Director of Production is Jean Aubert, former Studio Director at Ubisoft Cinematic Studio in Montreal, who is credited on games in the Prince of Persia, Splinter Cell and Rainbow Six franchises. "Jean has a vast background in managing multimedia and 3D animation projects and will be an excellent complement to the team," said Ernest Yale, CTO and Co-Founder of Triotech. "We’re working on bringing new experiences to the public by combining state-of-the-art graphics and motion systems as well as new immersive technologies and Jean and the team will make it all happen!"
