Game engine maker Trinigy has announced a partnership with Havok to integrate the Intel-owned tools provider's Havok Physics middleware into its Vision Engine (Dungeon Hero). According to Trinigy, the integration is primarily aimed at enhancing workflow efficiencies in using Havok Physics' collision detection and physical simulation together with the Vision Engine. Released in June 2008, Vision Engine 7 has also formed integration partnerships with Xaitment's XaitEngine, NaturalMotion's Morpheme, Nvidia's PhysX and Pixelux's Digital Molecular Matter tech. The multiplatform Vision Engine 7 has been licensed by developers including Settlers developer Blue Byte for forthcoming titles, and Nitro Games for multiple titles. "After seeing the power and extensibility of the Vision Engine, we are confident that an integration with Havok Physics can provide game developers with a superior game authoring environment that delivers best-of-breed physics," says Havok vice president Kurt Pakendorf.
