Traveller's Tales, an independent UK-based game developer most recently responsible for Crash: Twinsanity and Lego Star Wars, has acquired Giant Entertainment, the fledgling co-publisher (alongside Eidos Interactive) of Lego Star Wars. According to online reports, the company created from the two developers will be known as TT Games. The two teams within TT Games will continue essentially unchanged; Traveller's Tales will continue to be led by Jon Burton, who will also take on duties as chairman of the general TT Games board. Tom Stone, founder of Giant Entertainment, will likewise continue as president of the Giant team. The merged groups will focus on making games for the children's market, a goal that should be helped along by Giant's exclusive license for the Lego properties, which lasts until 2012. Financial terms of the acquisition were not revealed.
