Viewtier Systems has announced that Torpex Games, developers of the forthcoming Xbox Live Arcade title
Schizoid, has selected Viewtier's software release management system Parabuild to manage development of its games.
The Bellevue, Washington-headquartered developer added that Parabuild's pricing, along with its integration with Subversion SCM, helped them set up the build and release management infrastructure quickly.
Little is yet known on what titles the studio is taking on outside of
Schizoid, but the Xbox Live Arcade title, and by association the studio, has become a poster child of sorts for Microsoft's recently announced XNA Game Studio Express, on which
Schizoid is being developed, as
previously reported.
"The determining factor for selecting Parabuild is its Continuous Integration functionality, whilst providing stable nightly builds," said Jamie Fristrom, Torpex Games' co-founder and technical director. "Introducing Parabuild has made our development environment more fun and productive. Integration builds provide us instant feedback on quality of changes to the game code and allow fixing build errors quickly."
