Xbox Live director 'Major Nelson' has posted the top Xbox Live games for 2007 -- including top played multiplayer titles, and top purchased Xbox Live Arcade games -- showing a predictable dominance of
Halo 3, and a clear preference from XBLA shoppers for classic over new titles.
The list
includes statistics for both Xbox 360 and original Xbox titles, and has
Halo 3 and
Halo 2 leading both categories, followed by
Gears of War, and the more recent
Call of Duty 4 taking a surprising lead considering its end of year release.
Turning to Xbox Live Arcade sales data, Konami's arcade port
TMNT 1989 Arcade leads all others, followed by
Worms and another Konami release -- its PlayStation port
Castlevania: SOTN.
