Tony Hawk Stays with Activision

Activision has locked-up the industry’s top selling action sports franchise by signing skateboard legend Tony Hawk to a long-term deal.
Activision debuted the Tony Hawk Pro Skater series in 1999, and has since racked up nearly $500 million in sales. The new contract will keep Tony Hawk in the Activision fold until 2015, perhaps longer than the 34 year-old Hawk will continue to skate. Development of the franchise, now on its fourth installment, will remain with Activision’s Neversoft Entertainment.
