TIGA (The Independent Games Association), a UK-based industry group dedicated to preserving the independent developer scene in their home territory, will be hosting a seminar at the 2005 E3 on business opportunities in the North American market.
The fourth U.S. Opportunities Seminar, as it's formally called, will be backed by the UK government as part of the State of Play pavilion. Confirmed speakers at the event include Seamus Blackley, who'll give the keynote entitled "Trends in the U.S. games market - what are the Hollywood majors up to?" as well as Grantley Day, Richard Jalichandra, Doug Lombardi, Colin Gordon, Francois Masciopinto, Lloyd Melnick, Lee Milligan, and Stacy Siegel.
Members of TIGA, Game Horizon, Game Republic, and East Midlands developers can attend the US Opportunities Seminar at no cost. The event will be held at the Loews Hotel in Beverly Hills from 1:00-6:00 p.m. on May 17, followed by a reception. Those wishing to attend can register at
