THQ announced that Robert Aniello has joined the company in the role of senior vice president, worldwide marketing. In this role, Aniello will oversee brand development for the company's portfolio of original franchises and market licensed properties. In his new role, Aniello will report to Kelly Flock, executive vice president of worldwide publishing. Aniello brings more than 20 years of marketing experience to THQ, primarily in the interactive space. Most recently, Aniello served as vice president, marketing at JAMDAT/ Electronic Arts. He also served as vice president and director of Mattel Interactive, where he focused on new business opportunities in mobile, interactive, DVD games, plug n play and iTV games. Aniello's tenure in the interactive space also includes strategic marketing positions at Electronic Arts where he helped to launch the EA Sports Big brand. "This is a very exciting time for THQ as we prepare to launch several new properties for next-generation systems beginning with Saints Row later this year," said Kelly Flock, executive vice president of worldwide publishing, THQ.
