Publisher THQ has announced that the latest chapter in Gas Powered Games' real time strategy Supreme Commander franchise will be coming to PCs in November as Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance, with full prequel compatibility and new strategic options. Continuing the story following the Infinite War, the latest Supreme Commander will feature a new single player campaign as well as compatibility as an expansion to the first title, a new faction, and a number of "innovative multiplayer features." THQ says the new title will introduce more than 100 new units giving players "access to cutting-edge strategic options, including fully realized navies, orbital weaponry and advanced counter intelligence technologies." Said series creator and Gas Powered CEO Chris Taylor, "Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance is not only the continuation of the epic story that is unfolding inside the game’s universe, it is the continuation of our goal to move the bar for RTS gaming even higher than ever.”
