The Fat Man Group and Texas Interactive Music Conference have announced registration for their 11th annual Project Bar-B-Q conference, a small summit whose official yearly topic is "Influencing Music Hardware and Software Over The Next 5 Years."
Set to take place over October 19th to 22nd in the Canyon of the Eagles at Lake Buchanan, Texas, the summit provides the opportunity for "50 of the brightest minds in computer audio" to convene, enjoy "gourmet meals" and "challenge them to solve the toughest problems in the industry."
Said Optimal Sound president and this BBQ's Thursday night speaker David Roach, "At other conferences, you get laboriously prepared PowerPoint for 55 minutes of every hour, with a chance to ask a question or two at the end. At Project Bar-B-Q you get to make your own agenda, solving common problems and issues with others in your food chain, including your competitors. This just doesn’t exist anywhere else!"
As with previous years, this year's conference hopes to "generate sources of positive action and influence upon the computer audio industry as represented by the MMA, the IASIG, and the AES, and the other various individuals and corporations who participate in computer audio."
