Terminal Reality Touts Infernal Engine Growth, New Licensees

Since it began licensing its Infernal Engine in February of this year, developer Terminal Reality says it's gained over a dozen licensees using it to develop more than 20 titles across all platforms. At the same time, the company revealed it's added two India-based developers -- Trine Games (Guild 2) and military training sim creator Zen Technologies -- to the roster, as well as Vancouver-based A.C.R.O.N.Y.M. Games. A.C.R.O.N.Y.M. previously collaborated with developer Red Fly on the Wii version of Terminal Reality's Infernal-powered Ghostbusters, and it is now again using the engine to develop an unannounced title based on a new IP. Terminal Reality says its cross-platform engine, usable on games for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, PC and PSP, scales between systems, and includes developer support and an optimized content pipeline. "In a challenging year for the games industry, Infernal Engine’s growth shows the strength of our technology," says Terminal Reality sales and marketing VP Joe Kreiner. "Additionally, these new licensees are testament to the versatility of the Infernal Engine."
