The British Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) has ordered Take-Two Interactive to amend advertisements for the console versions of the Pterodon-developed first-person shooter
Vietcong: Purple Haze which used the phrase: "Napalm never smelt this good."
The ASA upheld complaints from seven different people concerning the advert, and concluded the text was "...likely to cause serious or widespread offence."
The text in question was actually a quotation from The UK Official PlayStation 2 Magazine, but Take-Two has nevertheless apologized for using it and will be removing the words from further adverts.
The ASA failed to uphold additional complaints that the game "glorified war and violence".
