Venerable Japanese consumer magazine Famitsu has organized a survey to discover which three games the general public, retailers and developers expect to be most successful in 2004. All the games picked were for the PS2, with gamers choosing Final Fantasy XII, Metal Gear Solid 3 and Dragon Quest V. The developers polled picked Final Fantasy XII, Dragon Quest VIII and Grand Tursimo 4; while the retailers also put Final Fantasy XII in first place, followed by Dragon Quest VIII and Dragon Quest V. Interestingly the predictions for the most successful firms in 2004 were as follows. The low placement of Konami in this list is curious, considering it is usually the second placed publisher in Japan and has a number of high-profile titles scheduled for 2004. 1. Square Enix 2. Nintendo 3. Namco 4. Sega 5. Capcom 6. Konami
