Officials from Midway Games have announced that the company’s largest shareholder, Sumner Redstone, has requested that Shari Redstone and Kenneth Cron be nominated for election to the company’s board of directors at the next annual meeting of shareholders, which is expected to be held in June 2004.
Midway's Chairman, Neil Nicastro, has stated, "We are delighted to welcome Ms. Redstone and Mr. Cron as nominees for membership on Midway's board of directors. Ms. Redstone would bring valuable entertainment industry, public company and legal experience to our Board while Mr. Cron would bring relevant interactive entertainment industry expertise to the board."
