A contest designed for college students with an interest in video games design is being launched at www.hiddenagenda.com. Entrants will be tasked with designing and building a new game, with the caveat that it must include “stealth education”. The game is to be aimed at a middle school audience and include various, subtle, educational elements so that the schoolchildren are educated as well as entertained. The contest has been developed by the Liemandt Foundation – a non-profit group devoted to furthering education through technology. The Foundation also promises to promote further edutainment products in the future.
