StarForce Technologies has launched StarForce Professional 2.0, a copy protection system for games distributed on CD. StarForce Professional does not allow someone to launch a program if the CD has been copied by programs like CloneCD, CDRWin, or BlindWhite, nor by CD emulators like Daemon Tools or Virtual CD-ROM. The company says regardless of how the CD is copied, the system will detect if the copy is illegal, without altering the physical structure of discs.
