Following the E3 announcement of Polyphony Digital's long-awaited
Gran Turismo PSP game, Sony has now announced the game will be offered in a bundle along with the portable console.
Notably, the bundle includes a UMD-reading PSP-3000 model, not the upcoming digital distribution-only PSP Go, and the game is included in physical UMD form, even though it will also be sold through Sony's PlayStation Network.
The package will go on sale in North America for $199.99 on October 20, a few weeks after the launch of the PSP Go. That pricing is in line with other PSP-3000 game bundles offered by Sony.
It also includes a 2GB Memory Stick and three download vouchers: one for a Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, which is not available to the broader player base, one redeemable for 10 songs from the Sony Music Pass service, and one redeemable for a specific PlayStation Network movie download whose title has yet to be announced.
The system itself is described as being "mystic silver" in hue; no explicitly magical or supernatural properties of the coloring were enumerated.
