The adapter, which supports both dial-up and broadband connections, has sold 500,000 units since its launch last August, and the company says it expects to ship one million units by March 31. Sony said 58 percent of users were playing via broadband.
Another factoid the company disclosed was the older demographic of the PS2's online players. Less than half of PS2 owners are between the ages of 18 and 34, but 73 percent of its registered online players are in that age group.
