Social Impact Games project organizer Marc Prensky announced that he has updated his independent 'serious game' catalog site's database with the 20 most recent serious games titles, adding to the over 500 titles detailed on the site. Games added to the list include 3rd World Farmer, Binary Game, Cyberbudget (France), Darfur is Dying, Democs, Escape from Diab, Exchanging Cultures (Second Life), Free Dive, Global Kids Island, Hydro Hijinks, The Mapojib Experience, Media Blackout, Nanoswarm, and Outbreak at Water's Edge. Others recently added as part of this update include Pax Warrior, PeaceMaker (the subject of the latest SGS feature), Personal Investigator, Pulse!!, Re-Mission, and Waste of Space. The Social Impact Games site works under the mandate (of sorts) created by a Will Wright soundbite: "Many game designers today are looking to maximize the social impact of their work." With that in mind, the site is listing games and gaming events that are specifically designed to talk about social impact.
