Officials from publicly traded hardware manufacturer and software developer Signature Devices have announced that the company has established a new video game publishing subsidiary named Graffiti Entertainment, as well as planning expansion in the government contract 'serious game' simulation side of its business. The company’s game development studio will now shift into the new company, although it will still be free to create games for other publishers. The developer’s most visible titles to date have been the Xbox conversion of Samurai Shodown V and 3D engine work on the PC version of Medal of Honor: Pacific Assault. Graffiti Entertainment will also distribute games worldwide for other developers, and is currently completing several titles with release dates planned during 2006. With the movement of game development and publishing into the new Graffiti Entertainment division, Signature Devices also announced that it will expand its hardware and embedded systems sales and increase its government contract business, specifically in 3D simulations. "Establishing an in-house game publishing company was a natural evolution for us considering the dynamic and talented creative team we have in place," says Kenneth Hurley CEO/CTO of Signature Devices. "The seamless integration of our publishing and development operations will enable us to develop and release an increasing number of awesome games to the world market."
