Sega to Rebrand 2K Series as ESPN Series

In trying to revive its flagging 2K sports line, Sega announced that it would drop the 2K tag in favor of the ESPN brand.

The renaming of the Sega games extends an existing relationship that began in May 2002, when Sega signed a deal to include ESPN logos, graphics and music in its sport titles. Sega sports games will adopt the ESPN tag in the following fashion beginning later this summer: 'ESPN Basketball', 'ESPN Football', etc. The games will feature ESPN anchors providing in-game commentary as well as music and statistics panels in ESPN's style.
