According to comments from Sega president Hisao Oguchi, in Japanese newspaper Nikkei Keizai Shimbun, the company has received development hardware for Nintendo’s recently announced DS (Dual Screen) portable, but is not committed to creating games for the format.
This means that Konami and Namco remain the only confirmed third-party support for the new console. Sega are expected to eventually support the machine though, especially in light of their continued work on the N-Gage – for which they recently confirmed versions of
Virtua Cop and
Alien Front.
