Sega Europe has officially announced
Alpha Protocol, a new "espionage role playing game" in development by Obsidian Entertainment (
KOTOR II: Sith Lords, Neverwinter Nights 2) for a 2009 release on Xbox 360, PS3 and Windows PC.
Sega describes it as a "modern" RPG, featuring young rogue agent Michael Thornton up against international catastrophe. Cast off from his government, Thornton is alienated from those he must protect.
Sega says player decisions on various missions will play a role in the story development, and "ultimately transform the type of secret agent Michael Thorton will become."
