In a joint release, Sega of America and Sega Europe announced that the developer and publisher has licensed Epic Games' Unreal Engine 3 for "several upcoming projects" under development in its North American studios.
No details were released on the specific titles, with Sega saying the projects would be announced later in the year.
Sega
recently announced a number of titles in its more Western-focused 2007/2008 lineup, including a PS3 and Xbox 360 sequel to its Monolith-developed

Happy Tree Friends False Alarm for Xbox Live Arcade,
Universe at War: Earth Assault from the former Westwood veterans at Petroglyph and a partnership with
Dungeon Siege and
Supreme Commander developers Gas Powered Games.
