As part of its ongoing expansion plans, independent development and outsourcing company Scary Fish Ltd. has announced that it is establishing an office in Victoria, British Columbia. The facility will be headed up by Future Publishing, Sony Computer Entertainment, and Acclaim veteran Managing Director Andy Roberts, who will maintain a close link between the U.K. and Canadian offices. Scary Fish currently have three PC products in development, due for release under their “Old Skool” label in 2007. They also specialize in content outsourcing, including programming, art, design, audio, copywriting, and strategy guides. “The establishment of the Canada office is the next logical step for Scary Fish,” stated Roberts. “British Columbia is not only ripe with talent and opportunity, but also a prime location for a North American base of operations.” “We can capitalize on this by forging closer relationships with publishers, developers, and freelance talent in Canada and the USA,” Roberts added.
