User interface engine Scaleform Corporation says it has doubled its year over year sales, achieving 100 percent revenue growth since 2007.
The company has also doubled the number of customers using its its Scaleform GFx scalable vector graphics engine -- and says this marks the third year in a row of 100 percent growth of both its userbase and its revenues.
Scaleform GFx combines hardware-accelerated rendering with Adobe's image, vector and motion graphics tool chain. It enables developers to implement interfaces, menu UIs, HUDs, animated textures and minigames into their projects.
The middleware is cross-platform and integrates with game engines like Epic's Unreal Engine 3 and Emergent's Gamebryo.
During 2008 the company reached over 300 titles in various development stages that use Scaleform GFx, with companies like Electronic Arts, Activision Blizzard, Sony and Microsoft among its customres.
"We are excited to celebrate this major milestone and share our success with the industry," says president and CEO Brendan Iribe.
"Our continued growth is even more momentous in the current global economic environment, and shows developers investing in proven solutions to reduce risk, accelerate workflow and increase return on investment for their game pipelines."
